The origin story

A Decade-Plus in the Making

In 2012, a scrappy word-action game called Spellshooter was released on the iOS App Store. It found a small, devoted following, then went quiet for over a decade.

In 2026, it came back. Rebuilt from scratch with modern AI-assisted development, starting from the original 2012 materials. Same core idea — aim, bank, spell — completely new execution: sharper physics, a fresh Daily Challenge, a short Daily Dash event, and years of ideas that never got the chance to ship the first time.

Spellshooter 2 isn't a reboot in name only. It's proof a small idea can wait a decade and come back better.

One tap. One shot. Clear 'em.

What you get

Free to start. More with Deluxe.

Free to play

Six modes, no paywall: Clear 'Em score-attack, Endless, Blitz (30s / 60s / 90s), a fresh Daily Challenge, Daily Dash, and a taller Weekly board — plus personal-best tracking with zero sign-in. A quiet badge on both dailies tells you when today's run is still waiting. No account, no paywall on the core game.

Daily Dash

A short, always-winnable daily event on its own stage — not a leftover campaign level. Finish it in a couple of minutes, then share the run on a themed card.

Deluxe unlock

One tap, one purchase on iOS — yours to keep. A single one-time unlock adds Campaign mode, Survival Mode and Zen inside Endless, extended Blitz runs (2- and 5-minute marathons plus the four-letter-minimum hardcore rule), and Rush and the full Archive inside Clear 'Em, plus extra themes and audio — and includes the Holiday Pack's seasonal worlds, soundtracks, and sound effects. No subscription. The free web version doesn't sell Deluxe — it points you to iOS.

A real successor

Built by returning to the original 2012 Spellshooter and rethinking it from the ground up. A modern engine drives sharper physics and richer trick-shot banking, plus modes the original never had — Clear 'Em, Endless, Blitz, Daily Challenge, Daily Dash, and Weekly all free, and Campaign, Survival Mode, Zen, Rush, and the Archive in Deluxe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to play?

No — you don't need an account to play or to see your personal best. Optional leaderboards and friends are off by default.

Is there a subscription?

No. Spellshooter 2 has no subscription at launch, and none is planned. The only optional purchases are one-time unlocks on iOS — Deluxe, and an optional Holiday Pack.

Are there ads?

No monetized ads run today — our AdMob application was declined and we haven't enabled any ad network. On Android, if you empty your swaps you may still see a leftover placeholder test ad from development scaffolding, not a real ad campaign, while we close that gap. The web version never shows this. If ads ever go live, we'd keep them strictly opt-in rather than a forced break, and Deluxe would stay ad-free.

Can I buy Deluxe in the browser?

No — the free web version is just that: free. Deluxe and the Holiday Pack are one-time unlocks on iOS.

Can I compare scores with friends or on a leaderboard?

Yes — optional global and friends leaderboards are built in, and they're off by default. Your personal best, stats, and achievements are tracked automatically on your device either way, with zero sign-in required. Turning leaderboards on shares your chosen player name, an anonymous player ID, your friend code, and the scores you submit with our backend so we can display those boards; leave it off and none of that leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
