News

Notes from the shack.

Release news, design write-ups, and the occasional story about why a product exists. New posts are announced here first; product pages carry the current status badges.

  1. Spellshooter 2 is in store submission. Here is what ships in 1.0.

The free modes, the one-time Deluxe unlock, the Holiday Pack, and the things we cut to get version 1.0 out the door.

  2. Why Spellshooter 2 never asks you to sign in.

Personal bests on the device, anonymous leaderboards you can switch off, and what that costs us as developers.

  3. How Ampledger turns a photo of your breaker panel into a map you can search.

Capture, draft, confirm, share. A walk through the workflow and the decisions behind it.

  4. Ski Scan: one capture, a record that keeps growing.

Why Alpenkeep starts with a photo of your topsheet and what it builds from there.

  5. Spellshooter is back after fourteen years.

The 2012 original, the players who kept asking, and how the sequel was rebuilt from the ground up.

What gets posted here

Three kinds of things. Release news when a product reaches a store or a major version ships, with a plain list of what changed. Design write-ups that explain a decision we made and the trade-offs that came with it, because the reasoning is usually more useful than the feature list. And studio notes, such as renames, policy updates, and changes to how we work.

We do not post on a schedule, and we do not pad the page. If there is nothing worth saying, nothing appears. For launch alerts on a specific product, the waitlist is the reliable channel; for everything else, this page and the status badges on each product page are the record.
